CLIMRES Project
Research Services
Leadership for Climate Resilient Buildings. Funded by the European Union.
About us
The CLIMRES project aims to promote "Leadership for Climate Resilient Buildings" by identifying building vulnerabilities and enhancing their resilience to disruptive events and changing conditions caused by climate change. CLIMRES solutions will be tested in three large-scale pilots in Spain, Greece, Italy, and Slovenia, evaluating their efficacy against heatwaves, extreme flooding, fires, and earthquakes. Additionally, there will be one multi-hazard replication multiplier pilot in France. The project is funded by the European Union.

🔷 #MeetOurPartner | What if buildings could be smarter, stronger, and more resilient in the face of disasters? That’s exactly what #Frederick_Research_Center’s Sustainable Energy Research Group (SERG) is working on! 🌍 #Frederick_Research_Center’s_Sustainable_Energy_Research_Group (SERG) conducts research in sustainable energy technologies and building physics, focusing on experimental and computational approaches. Operating within Frederick University and Frederick Research Center, SERG is involved in research projects, laboratory and consulting services, and teaching activities under the university’s undergraduate and postgraduate programs. 🌱In CLIMRES Project, SERG is advancing disaster preparedness and resilience through vulnerability analysis and impact assessment. Their research examines how hazards affect building utilities and functionality, using assessment tools, historical data, and hazard models to evaluate risks at a neighborhood scale. A key focus is integrating Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) methodologies, ensuring resilience strategies are cost-effective and environmentally sustainable. Additionally, their work includes developing a framework to assess building vulnerabilities and seismic performance. Using visual surveys of existing buildings, they analyze structural integrity under various seismic scenarios, providing data-driven insights for stronger, more resilient infrastructure. 📢 Stay with us as we push the boundaries of disaster resilience and future-proof our built environment! 🌐 Visit climres.eu 🖱 Follow us on X @Climres_eu #ResilientCities #BuildingResilience #SustainableInfrastructure #SmartUrbanPlanning #ClimateAction
