As summer fades and the school bells start to ring, many students find themselves facing the familiar back-to-school anxiety. Over the past five years, incidents of fentanyl overdoses have been more prevalent than any other illicit drug in New Hampshire. As part of CLM’s commitment to fostering professional growth and development within our agency, a daylong Leadership Training session was recently held for supervisors that supervise clinical, case management, and functional support services/EBP staffing. The goal of the training was for supervisors to have the opportunity to enhance their leadership skills, learn effective supervisory strategies, understand the importance of clinical, administrative and supportive supervision as well as how to make data driven decisions and explore techniques for team motivation and empowerment!

According to the NH Department of Health and Human Services (NHDHHS), “the number of extreme heat events (i.e. hot days and heat waves) have increased over the past few decades in New Hampshire. Since 1980, the average number of days with a heat index over 90°F has doubled from 8 days a year to 15 days.” We encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions during the hot days of August to stay safe and healthy.
