About us

The Construction Management Association of America is North America’s only organization dedicated exclusively to the interests of professional Construction and Program Management. The Association was formed in 1982. CMAA has regional chapters and student chapters at colleges and universities nationwide with a current membership of nearly 16,000 including individual CM/PM practitioners, corporate members, and construction owners in both public and private sectors, along with academic and associate members. CMAA also has 29 regional chapters and student chapters at colleges and universities across the country. Our local chapter was chartered January 21, 2011 and we have grown substantially in the short time with over 200+ members currently! The Mission of CMAA is to promote the profession of Construction Management and the use of qualified Construction Managers on capital projects and programs. The Vision of CMAA is that all owners will realize capital project and program success by using professionally qualified Construction Managers. Membership in CMAA includes more than 16,000 firms and individuals. Owners, engineers, architects, contractors, educators, students...everyone with a stake in the construction industry's success. All parties to a project are vitally interested in excellence of execution--including rapid completion, high fidelity to specifications, conscientious cost control, and optimum use of all resources.
