Cobb County employees spread awareness about breast cancer today with our annual Pink Out event. Employees from departments throughout the organization participated by sporting their pink gear.  Breast Cancer Fast Facts: 🎗 Each year in the United States, about 270,000 women get breast cancer and 42,000 women die from the disease. 🎗 Men also get breast cancer, but it is not very common. About 1 out of every 100 breast cancers diagnosed in the United States is found in a man. 🎗 Most breast cancers are found in women who are 50 years old or older, but breast cancer also affects younger women. Cobb County 911 wishes our team members, Becky and Scott, and the Georgia Telecommunicator Emergency Response Team (TERT) safe travels on their journey and deployment to Asheville, North Carolina. For the next 14 days, this team of emergency communications professionals will play a vital role in providing relief to their fellow communications professionals serving a community devastated by the effects of Hurricane Helene.
