Coborn’s is thrilled to announce the construction of a new, state-of-the-art grocery and liquor store as part of an exciting new development, “The Boulevard” in Plymouth, MN. In partnership with developers Roers Companies and Scannell Properties, this groundbreaking project marks Coborn's debut in the Plymouth market, bringing a modern shopping experience to the community. The Coborn’s store will serve as a brand new next generation prototype that aims to bring a wide assortment of fresh produce, locally grown and made products, and meal solutions for any time of the day. Located off Interstate 494 and Bass Lake Road, this 75-acre planned unit development will be a dynamic hub, featuring upwards of $300 million in investment in outdoor community park and gathering spaces, residential apartments, medical offices, business park uses, and retail establishments. This prestigious award, based on accidents and miles traveled within Minnesota, is a testament to the unwavering commitment to safety our drivers uphold every day. Our fleet is recognized as one of the safest in Minnesota, and we couldn’t be more proud of the men and women behind the wheel who make this possible. Their hard work often goes unnoticed, but this recognition shines a spotlight on the critical role they play in keeping our roads safe. At the MTA Annual Conference, we have had the privilege of accepting this award for the past eight years, and we extend our deepest gratitude to our drivers for their dedication and excellence. Celebrating Community & Tradition! Marketplace Foods in Menomonie recently donated 150 bags of cotton candy to the Ludington Guard Band for their Circus Night concert. This band, now in its 136th year, has been a cornerstone of that community since 1888, making it the longest-running community band in Wisconsin. The Ludington Guard Band’s summer concerts are a beloved tradition, drawing over 300 attendees each week, complete with a pie social hosted by local non-profits and popcorn sales by the Menomonie Senior Center. We’re proud to support this vibrant local tradition and the incredible people who make it happen. We are pleased to announce the upcoming retirement of Francis Audette, Director of Operations - District II, effective September 28, 2024. Francis has dedicated nearly 40 years to the grocery retail industry, joining us in May 2015 when MarketPlace Foods locations in Wisconsin became part of the Coborn’s, Inc. family. His leadership was pivotal in the seamless integration of these stores. In December 2021, Francis once again demonstrated his expertise by successfully integrating the Tadych’s banner into our organization. Throughout his career, he has overseen operations in Wisconsin and Michigan with compassion and care. Please join us in congratulating Francis on his well-deserved retirement and wishing him all the best in this new chapter.
