When school is on break, the kids at Coburn Place can participate in camp activities with our Children's Services! This year they rock climbed at Waterman's Farm, learned the basics of coding with Code Ninja, explored the zoo, swam at the YMCA, and did many more fun things. It's important that kids can be kids.

Swifties have a REPUTATION for their big hearts and they showed it last night. Influencer Tess Bohne started a fundraiser benefiting Coburn Place to celebrate Taylor Swift performing in Indy this weekend and the Swiftie community has already raised more than $34,000 for survivors! We are so overwhelmed with joy and gratitude for this amazing support. LONG LIVE the impact these incredible Swifties are making by including Coburn Place as part of their LOVE STORY. 💜

It’s Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and DV affects far more people than we may realize. More than 10 million adults in the United States experience some form of domestic violence annually. That’s more than 10 times the population of Indianapolis. Additionally, it’s estimated that only half of all DV incidents get reported, so the real number of affected people is likely much higher. Help is available – don’t be afraid to reach out. #DVawareness #BreakTheSilence #SupportSurvivors #DVAM24

Domestic violence is not only an adult problem. Kids are one of the most vulnerable populations to its effects. Children who witness DV are: •  Six times more likely to die by suicide and 50% more likely to abuse drugs and alcohol • 74% more likely to commit a violent crime against someone else • Three times more likely to be abused or perpetrate abuse in adulthood It's our collective responsibility to break this cycle and create a safer, healthier future for our kids. Let's provide the support and resources they need. #BreakTheCycle #EndDV #DVAM24
