We’re very excited to support the American Heart Association, Greater Washington Region (AHA GWR) in advancing two key local health initiatives: healthy food pantries and the Heart of Greater Washington campaign. Over the coming months, our nutrition security sponsorship will enable the AHA GWR to help local food assistance providers implement healthy nutrition policies and promote nutrition security initiatives. Coforma employees will also have the opportunity to volunteer with and provide donations for food pantries in their local communities. Driving progress in healthcare—and championing organizations doing the same—is a point of emphasis for Coforma. As CEO Eduardo F. O. shares, “When individuals in our communities have the resources they need to improve their total well-being, we all benefit.” Read more about our partnership via the link in the comments. #HealthEquity #TechForGood #HealthIT

Our work with the Department of Veterans Affairs on the Benefits Tools Crew project helped reduce the cognitive burden and “time tax” on Veterans and VA staff by making benefits tools more transparent and efficient. We’re honored to share that these efforts have been recognized with a FORUM Disruptive Tech award. Congrats to everyone who worked on this impactful project! #VA #VeteranServices #GovTech #DisruptiveTechSummit2025 #FederalIT #DisruptiveTech

The Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) Office of Retirement Services (RS) is the largest retirement organization in the United States. In late 2020, OPM RS sought Team Coforma’s help to create a modernized version of the Federal Annuity Claims Expert System (FACES) that would meet people’s needs, preserve legacy knowledge, and offer a lasting framework for administering benefits in the future. We’re excited to share that the updated retirement tool—Janus—made its production debut on March 15, 2025. This mission-critical application will soon replace the primary functions of FACES: calculating retirement benefits and providing retirement benefit estimates for federal employees, as well as retrieving and collecting electronic retirement data from federal agencies. We’re grateful for the opportunity to support OPM in this endeavor along with our partners at various stages from Ad Hoc, Blue Tiger, Element Solutions, and Flexion. You can read more about the project through the link in the comments. Congratulations to all for achieving this significant milestone! #CivicTech #GovernmentServices #FederalRetirees #TechnologyModernization #OPM

Today, nearly 40% of Veterans have an identified disability, with about 1.52 million Veterans having a service-connected disability rating of 70% or higher. Coforma is committed to delivering inclusive experiences to these and all Veteran communities. As part of that commitment, we have been awarded a task order under the SPRUCE IDIQ for a 2.5-year project with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) valued at up to $9.8 million. Expanding on our ongoing accessibility work with VA’s Office of the Chief Technology Officer (OCTO), this project establishes a specialized Digital Experience Accessibility Team tasked with ensuring product teams at the Department of Veterans Affairs prioritize accessibility in their workflows. We look forward to leveraging our accessibility expertise and familiarity with VA’s accessibility landscape to expand our positive impact on the Veteran community. #VeteranServices #VA #Design #HCD

Did you know? Cybercrime costs in the US reached an estimated $452 billion in 2024. For reference, that’s more than it would cost to construct a dozen international space stations or purchase every NFL, NBA, and MLB team that played in 2024. The CFO Leadership Council fosters peer-driven conversations that help finance leaders tackle their biggest challenges—including cybercrime. On March 18, the DC Metro chapter is hosting an in-person panel discussion on strategic measures businesses can adopt to protect themselves against cybersecurity threats. Coforma CFO, Gresford Barrington Gray, will moderate this important conversation. Other panelists include Stephanie Hurd, Jon Lund, Greg Tselikis, and Loren Wims. Registration is open through March 17. #Technology #Finance #Leadership #CFO

According to the American Academy of Physician Associates, 73 percent of US adults report that the healthcare system is failing to meet their needs, in one way or another. That’s why working to improve healthcare systems, experiences, and outcomes for Americans is one of our primary goals. In 2024, we collaborated with numerous partners to build new tools, streamline Medicaid data collection, enhance programs like the Quality Payment Program, and more.
