About us
The Collin College Police Department (CCPD) protects and prevents criminal activities and threats through community policing by creating a bond with students, faculty, and staff. This proactive approach develops trust between the police and those that they serve. The CCPD is organized, trained, and equipped to respond to criminal activity and real or perceived physical threats to the College community. The CCPD accomplishes this through constant collaboration with other college departments and municipal agencies.

343 firefighters, 60 police officers, and 8 paramedics woke up this morning 23 years ago, ready to serve and protect. They, along with 2,566 civilians, would not survive the horrific attacks later that morning. In a single moment, life changed forever. As we reflect on this tragic day, we honor the lives lost and the bravery shown. The Collin College 9/11 Memorial, located at the Public Safety Training Center (PSTC), stands as a tribute to those heroes. The PSTC houses the Collin College Law Enforcement Academy and Collin College Fire & EMS Academy, where they train the next generations of first responders and provide continuing education to those currently serving. Every day, they carry forward the legacy of service and sacrifice. Let us all take time to hold our loved ones close, appreciate the simple moments, and never take a second of life for granted. #neverforget #911Memorial #collincollegepolice

Last week, Sergeant Carlton Kuhlman completed the FBI-LEEDA Trilogy series. Consisting of three leadership training courses: Supervisor Leadership Institute (SLI), the Command Leadership Institute (CLI), and the Executive Leadership Institute (ELI). Each of the Trilogy series components adds a set of new leadership concepts and a renewed appreciation for those holding ranks other than those held by the participating leader. Please join us in congratulating Sgt. Kuhlman on this great accomplishment.
