Barritt Lovelace led a breakout session at this year's WASHTO conference held in Omaha, offering his expertise on the use of UAS and AI technology on bridges throughout the state of Nebraska. His presentation, "Using Artificial Intelligence to Improve Bridge Management," highlighted the use of this technology to automatically find defects as part of bridge inspections. This also helps to address workforce challenges by allowing those who may not be able to be physically present at an inspection to offer their skills through the use of digital twins.
