Studies show that approximately 300-400 physicians die by suicide each year. The pressures and challenges of medical practice, combined with the stigma around seeking help, can make it difficult for doctors to reach out for support. At Colorado Physician Health Program (CPHP), we are committed to the wellbeing of our healthcare providers. Our confidential services provide physicians, physician assistants and trainees with the necessary resources to address mental health challenges, including counseling, assessment, and peer support. We believe that by fostering an environment where it is okay to seek help, we can make a difference in the lives of those who dedicate their lives to caring for others.
