About us
2024 AdAge Small Agency of the Year. We are an independent creative company partnering with a select number of like-minded brands who view creativity as a business lever. We create work that makes people feel something. The kind that ingrains itself into culture. Transcends media. And turns products into brands. We thrive in the foxhole alongside our partners, working to solve problems and crack riddles. Fast Company said we "represent advertising’s best hope to shake free the doldrums created by the industry’s oligarchy."– a statement we couldn't have written better ourselves.

We are looking for a young, talented, ego-less whipper snapper—specifically, a junior art director — to join our team. Someone with not just a keen design sense, but also a sincere desire to roll up their sleeves, learn, kick ass and make some magic. Colossus, named a 2024 AdAge Small Agency of the Year, is located in Boston—a medium-sized whaling village in the northeast region of the United States of America. But you probably knew that already, smarty pants. And that’s why we’re off to a great start. Drop us a DM or email us at jobs@wearecolossus.com and let’s chat. Like professionals.

"In an industry largely touting black belts in the ancient practice of Bullshittery™," writes Colossus Co-founder and ECD Travis Robertson, "agencies should be placing more emphasis on mining insights from the minds of their own people." Read more on Muse by Clios. https://lnkd.in/eTG7ZUNe

WOW. A million thank you’s to Ad Age for naming us SMALL AGENCY OF THE YEAR, Design, Gold. We started Colossus with the belief that design and advertising are not completely different animals and in just 3 years, that notion was validated on one of the industry’s biggest stages. We are not just a design studio. We are not just an ad agency. We are a creative company building provocative brands for the future. Big thanks to our incredibly talented team and trusting brand partners. And to the independent agencies who shared the podium with us last night, we are inspired by you all. Congrats to Erich & Kallman, Majority, Quality Meats Creative, CALLEN, PREACHER, Madwell, Mojo Supermarket, Öpınıonated, Curiosity, Bakery Agency, Cornett, Angry Butterfly, DCX Growth Accelerator and all the others. Thanks to Judann Pollack, Tim Nudd, Brian Bonilla, Jeanine Poggi and all the crew at Ad Age. We’re just getting started... https://lnkd.in/gvnJSsBp

It’s Friday and boy could we use a margarita. Or a gin and tonic. OR...both? We’re ending the week with the announcement that we’ve won creative duties for both Gray Whale Gin and Cantera Negra Tequila. Two awesome brands that deserve a spot on your bar shelf. Pitches can be exhausting and challenging and all the difficult things, but when it hits just right and the chemistry between the brand and agency feels good, it all falls into place. The creative vision we have for both of these incredible brands is a thing worth toasting. Here’s to making great work alongside our friends at Deutsch Family Wine & Spirits Wines. We couldn’t be more excited for this partnership. Cheers to Dan Kleinman, Justin Miller, Elissa Rodriguez, Lauren Borstein, Georgina Kerz and the whole Deutsch crew. https://lnkd.in/eSRMnyhy

Three years ago, we teamed up with our longtime pal and collaborator Jon Contino to create the Brand Identity for one of the coolest music festivals in the world- Boston Calling Music Festival. 50 artists on 4 stages over the course of 3 epic days. All attended by more than 60,000 fans. This weekend, the iconic music fest rocked our city once again. Seeing thousands of fans descend upon Boston in t-shirts, wristbands, tickets and merch that we helped create is unbelievably cool. Watching musicians like Megan Thee Stallion, Ed Sheeran, Tyler Childers, Khruangbin, Frank Turner and Leon Bridges grace the stages we helped design and concept is even cooler. Creating a logo is one thing. But building a living, breathing brand is a whole other animal. Thanks to Boston Calling for trusting us to craft this fun, quirky, rough-around-the-edges graphic system. From the hand drawn dog logo to the custom typography, we poured our hearts into this one. By combining the Old World style of historic Boston with nods to Ivy league collegiate style, D.I.Y. punk shows and vintage newspaper printing, we built a system made to represent the place we call home. And we are so excited to watch this festival flourish. Huge congratulations to all the bands, musicians, roadies, concession workers and security staff who worked their asses off this weekend. High fives to the internal design team at Boston Calling for running with the system we started. And last but not least, kudos to Brian Appel and Mike Snow for pulling it all off. We hope you guys get some well deserved sleep this week.

Our work for Procter & Gamble's New Chapter has finally made its way out into the world. In all its leafy, flowery, sun-kissed goodness. Since 1982, New Chapter, Inc. has led the charge in crafting some of the best supplements money can buy. Born from the early days of Vermont's healthy hippie subculture, New Chapter has grown into a truly impressive company. They are a Certified B-Corp, Non-GMO Project Verified, CarbonFree and an all around force for positive change. And maybe it’s weird of us to say, but we’re kinda proud of them. That s#!t ain’t easy. Thanks to our wonderful client partners Blaine Streisand, Katharyn Orvis, Lauren Adams (Cwikla), Ian Karczewski, Trevor Williams, Jess Mazzochi, Sonjit Tumber, Virginie Morin, Alexandria Gallego, Emily Heisig and the whole New Chapter gang. We’re excited to build the next chapter of New Chapter with you all.
