On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, #ColumbiaMed honors the memory of the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the countless others who suffered under Nazi persecution. This day calls us to reflect on the devastating consequences of antisemitism and hatred and challenges us to renew our commitment to confronting bigotry and fostering a world rooted in compassion, tolerance, and justice.

Today, we honor the legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., with a look back to his 1961 visit to Columbia. That day, Dr. King spoke to nearly 400 students from Columbia and other New York City colleges. #NYP is thrilled to announce the opening of #OchSpine at NewYork-Presbyterian/The Spiral, a new, state-of-the-art spine center where a multidisciplinary team of specialists provide exceptional, comprehensive spine care for children and adults. The new outpatient facility is part of the expansion of #OchSpine, which brings together the world’s top orthopedic and neurosurgical spine surgeons and other spine care specialists to treat all spine problems, from the simple to the complex, using surgical, non-surgical, and minimally invasive treatments for every neck and back condition. The Spiral is the first dedicated spine center where specialists from Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine will see patients in the same location. Spanning 50,000 square feet on the second floor of The Spiral, a 66-story tower in Manhattan’s #HudsonYards, this cutting-edge facility offers a one-stop destination for patients to receive individualized, coordinated spine care from diagnosis through treatment, recovery, and rehabilitation. This new center was made possible thanks to a foundational gift of $50 million from the Jane and Daniel Och Family Foundation to expand the renowned #OchSpine program across the New York metro area and increase access to world-class spine care. Telehealth is an essential part of healthcare delivery – and has been upheld as a bipartisan issue, with support from both political parties and across two presidential administrations. But telehealth is now in jeopardy due to political forces threatening to stop a vital year-end funding package that includes multi-year extensions to vital flexibilities that would allow for uninterrupted access to needed virtual care services. Countless Americans rely on telehealth for their care yet, without swift action, access to virtual care programs could expire in mere days. #Telehealth #HealthcareAccess President-elect Trump enacted these flexibilities during his first administration, and we are confident that his incoming administration will show the same support for extending essential telehealth services for the American people. Make your voice heard! Click here (https://p2a.co/cHnV1IV) to contact your representatives in Congress now and urge them to prioritize telehealth in any funding package. Your opinion matters! #savetelehealth U.S. House of Representatives United States Senate House Republican Conference
