  • Standing Together Against Gender-Based Violence Gender-based violence (GBV) affects millions worldwide, impacting individuals, families, and communities. It can take many forms—emotional, physical, sexual, or economic—and often targets women and girls, although men, boys, and non-binary individuals can also be victims. Combating GBV requires more than laws or policies; it calls for a cultural shift. We must promote respect, equality, and empathy in all our relationships. Schools, workplaces, and communities should create safe spaces for open discussions about gender equality and respectful behavior. Education is crucial. Teaching people—especially young boys and girls—about consent, boundaries, and mutual respect can help prevent violence before it starts. Supporting survivors by listening without judgment and providing them access to safe shelters, counseling, and legal assistance is essential to their healing and recovery. Every voice matters in the fight against GBV. When we speak up against abusive behaviors and support survivors, we challenge a culture of silence and shame. Together, we can foster a world where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected. #ceaforgng

  • Combating Domestic Violence: A Call for Compassion and Change Domestic violence is not just a private issue; it affects individuals, families, and communities in deeply personal ways. Each story of abuse has a ripple effect, impacting not only the victim but also children, friends, and loved ones who may witness or experience its emotional toll. To combat domestic violence, we need both compassion and concrete action. This means creating safe spaces for survivors to speak up and seek help without fear or shame. We must build strong support systems, from friends and family to professional counseling and legal assistance, to help survivors find safety and rebuild their lives. Education is equally important. By raising awareness and teaching young people about respect and healthy relationships, we can break cycles of abuse and foster a culture of empathy. Together, through understanding, support, and action, we can create a future where every individual feels safe and valued in their own home. #ceaforgng

  • During our recent school tour, we had an enthusiastic response from the students, who were eager to learn about sexual awareness and prevention. The teachers were incredibly supportive, and together, we created an engaging and meaningful experience. At the end of the session, we presented a few gifts to the school as a gesture of appreciation. Overall, the event was a success, and we are committed to continuing this outreach as a way to contribute to society. Our goal is to equip the next generation with the knowledge to recognize and prevent sexual abuse, understand warning signs, and feel empowered to report any concerns. This is just one of the many schools we plan to visit, and we look forward to expanding our efforts to reach even more students in the future. #ceaforgng #ChildCareChoices #ceafproject #CEAFSchoolTours

  • Fighting against child abuse and domestic violence is crucial because every person deserves to feel safe, loved, and valued—especially in their own homes. For children, a secure and nurturing environment is essential for healthy growth and development. When abuse and violence enter these spaces, it can cause lasting emotional, physical, and mental harm. Addressing these issues not only protects individuals but also helps build stronger families and communities. By standing up against abuse, we help ensure that everyone, especially the most vulnerable, can have the chance to live a life of dignity and hope. Join us as a volunteer or contribute financially to enable us carryout more impactful programs. #ceaforgng

  • Child neglect is more than just the lack of physical care—it’s the silent absence of emotional warmth, protection, and connection that every child needs to grow and thrive. When a child is neglected, they are left feeling invisible, as though their needs, feelings, and worth don’t matter. It’s the moments when no one listens to their cries, when no one is there to guide them or offer comfort. Over time, this neglect can deeply affect how they see themselves and the world, shaping their ability to trust, build relationships, and feel safe. Every child deserves to be seen, heard, and nurtured, because the love and attention they receive early on shapes the person they will become. #ceaforgng

  • Shelter is more than just a roof over our heads—it’s a source of emotional and physical security. It’s the place where families bond, where we find comfort, and where we regain our strength. Without safe housing, a person's ability to work, study, and maintain their health is deeply affected. Shelter is not only essential for survival, but also for upholding dignity, well-being, and the peace of mind needed to grow and thrive. A secure home allows people to live fully and reach their potential. However, according to data from Invictus Africa, there are only 21 officially recognized safe shelters for survivors of rape, female genital mutilation/cutting (FGM/C), and other forms of gender-based violence across Nigeria. This is a stark gap in the support system. By supporting CEAF in building a new safe shelter in Lagos State, you can make a tangible difference in the lives of survivors, helping them find the safety and security they need to rebuild and thrive. #ceaforgng #ceafproject ActionAid The Pollination Project Foundation United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) AmplifyChange

  • Breaking the silence around sexual abuse is about reclaiming power and voice. For too long, survivors have been forced to carry the weight of their trauma in silence, often out of fear, shame, or societal judgment. But speaking out is the first step toward healing—not just for individuals, but for communities. It challenges the stigma, exposes the truth, and paves the way for justice. Every time someone shares their story, they help break the cycle of abuse, reminding others that they are not alone and that their experiences matter. Silence protects the abuser; speaking up empowers the survivor. #ceaforgng

  • Talking to students about sexual abuse and prevention is essential for their safety and well-being. By having open conversations, we help them understand the signs of abuse, know their rights, and feel empowered to speak up if they or someone they know is in danger. It creates an environment where students can identify inappropriate behavior early and know how to seek help. These discussions also break the stigma around sexual abuse, encouraging students to come forward without fear of shame or blame. By equipping young people with knowledge, we foster a culture of respect, consent, and personal boundaries, helping to protect them from becoming victims and teaching them the importance of looking out for one another. #ceaforgng #ceafproject

  • A safe shelter is one of the most basic human needs. It’s more than just a roof over your head—it’s a place where you feel secure, protected from the elements, and safe from harm. When you have a stable, secure place to call home, it gives you a foundation for everything else in life. You can rest, heal, and build your future. Without it, every day can feel like a struggle for survival, with uncertainty and stress weighing heavily on your mind. So we call on you to CEAF on her noble mission to protect women from all forms of gender based violence and raise awareness on GBV. You can volunteer with us or donate to the CEAF Safe Shelter project. #ceaforgng #ceafproject #buildingasafehouse
