After talking about the importance of supporting culture during our talk and panel at Amsterdam Dance Event, it was time to practice what we preach with this year’s ADE Beats Sessions. Each artist on the lineup showed exactly why they deserved their spot and why you should keep an eye on them! This event was made possible by our shared commitment with the City of Amsterdam to push talent development and organize more cultural events in Amsterdam Noord. Together, we’re excited to enhance the city’s creative landscape. An incredible partnership with Beats NL, the Netherlands Commission for Unesco, Convo and Common Culture. Huge thanks to everyone involved for making it happen, and special thanks to Mooie Jongens and Studio Wieman.

During Amsterdam Dance Event, we hosted an inspiring event to talk about hip hop’s role as a powerful cultural movement. Martin van Engel from the Netherlands Commission for Unesco joined us for a deep dive into the On(ver)vangbaar report, exploring hip hop’s significant social and economic impact. Martin called for increased recognition, resources, and representation for The Culture within influential roles in the cultural sector. The conversation continued with our panel featuring Imani Goncalves (FunX), Dave Vanderheijden (Hiphop In Je Smoel) and Myrto Semmoh (SMIB Worldwide). Together, they highlighted the importance of creating supportive platforms for emerging talent, amplifying diverse voices, and fostering societal change. Huge thanks to our incredible guests, both on- and offstage, for being part of this impactful conversation. And a special shoutout to Armin Shah (Convo) for expertly hosting the event. ADNIGHT is a wrap! Like last year we played a part in organizing WAY IN. A program that is focussed on informing and inspiring the next generation of creative talent.

AFTERMOVIE // VINCENT GOES NORTH. Another cool collaboration with the Van Gogh Museum and Gemeente Amsterdam in which we inspired Amsterdam youth to create their own art concepts to be showcased at the museum on march 29th. For the opening of the new Foot Locker store in the city centre of Amsterdam we turned the “heart of sneakers” into the pulse of Amsterdam and inspired our visitors with music and talks by those who drive culture in Amsterdam and far beyond.
