Last week, a family graduated from Clara House on to permanent housing! ❤️🏠🔑 Fany and her family spent around two years at Clara House, working hard to complete training programs, connect to employment, and start a savings account. In their time at Clara House, the family was a crucial part of building community within the program - sharing resources, facilitating communications through group texts, providing childcare for working parents in the program, and gathering with other families in community spaces. Send them good wishes for their new home!

Last Tuesday, despite a large turnout for public comment organized by the End Poverty Tows Coalition, SFMTA approved Mayor Breed's citywide ban on oversized vehicle overnight parking. Compass is disheartened by this decision. With over 500 families on the shelter waitlist, many of whom sleep in their vehicles, this ban will push more families onto the streets and place more strain on nonprofit providers and shelter waitlists. Compass will continue to fight for those in our community who rely on their RVs for shelter, work, and transportation, and we urge city officials to #EndPovertyTows! https://lnkd.in/dx25BUGK

Our exceptional CEO Erica Kisch is celebrating 30 YEARS at Compass today. Her impact is felt throughout Compass, which has grown from a $3.7 million annual budget to a $45 million annual budget in her 22 years as head of the organization. Without her compassionate and commanding leadership, thousands fewer families would have received the help they need toward a path of stability. Thank you Erica!!
