I am excited to share our new program initiative, Beyond VITA! Beyond VITA is a holistic approach that goes beyond the conventional scope of the VITA program. In addition to providing free tax preparation, Beyond VITA will connect VITA clients to financial literacy and asset-building services! This initiative is made possible through funding from the United Way of Greater Waterbury. The goal of Beyond VITA is to empower VITA clients with essential knowledge about budgeting, saving, and connecting them to safe and affordable bank accounts. Using our Connecticut Money School (CMS) curriculum, we will host our financial literacy and asset-building workshops at VITA sites in the Greater Waterbury area! VITA isn’t just about doing taxes, VITA is a life changer!!

We had an awesome time attending the Money Madness event hosted by Chelsea Groton Bank at Connecticut College. The event was to provide financial resources to youth and build excitement around financial literacy. The sticky notes on the wall were everyone's financial goals! Register here to attend our public classes to make those goals a reality! English: https://lnkd.in/ekBncYhn Spanish: https://lnkd.in/eVCxm977
