Our TechConneCT Roundtables are a fantastic opportunity to ask questions of your peers and get advice on all things tech. Registration is open for the next one - which will be perfect timing to talk tax tech! https://lnkd.in/eUJPfzze
Connecticut Society of CPAs (CTCPA) Today’s TechConneCT meeting this morning included discussions on: • The Security Awareness Training (SAT) product, potential benefits, and who are the biggest targets and offenders within our firms. • The required WISP plan should be added to your on-boarding process, as all staff need to sign off on the procedures. Additionally, all staff should review the procedure and sign an acknowledgment annually. • Multi-factor authentication (MFA) and the different products we use (digital and/or physical options) as most of our software now requires MFA. As we start to plan for the new year, it is a great time to update your employee policy manuals to include the required security awareness training, annual WISP review with sign-off by all staff, and MFA requirements of your firm. Our next meeting will be on 2/13/2025 and our topic is "Tax Season Tactics: The new things to try and the tired and true".
