The 2024 Manufacturing Tour bus made its way to Fairfield County on day 4. Here are the highlights of our trip through Bridgeport, Stamford, and Fairfield: The goal of Housatonic Community College's Advanced Manufacturing Technology Center is to help fill the #manufacturing jobs need in Connecticut by educating students to be confident, successful, innovative machinists. GE Appliances, a Haier company in Stamford is providing makers a place to create. From 3D printers to assembly of some of the appliances you use every day, this incredible space inspiring and beautiful. A whopping 2 million tea bags are made each day at Fairfield’s Bigelow Tea! Family-owned and run for almost 80 years, 180 varieties of tea are blended for you to enjoy! Paragon Medical in Bridgeport is all about their people and helping save the lives of others. ‘You touch a part, you touch a life.’ The medical components they produce are critical and they are committed to ‘doing things right the first time.’ Friday is the final day of the tour. Keep your eyes peeled in eastern CT for the big bus! CBIA Connecticut Office of Manufacturing Connecticut State Colleges & Universities Marcum LLP Vancord
