🕷️👻 This Halloween, we shine a light on the misunderstood creatures of our world! From the Aye Aye, with its eerie finger and rodent-like teeth, to the timid Gharial, often mistaken for a fearsome predator, these animals are crucial guardians of their ecosystems. While they may look spooky, they play essential roles in maintaining balance in nature. The Aye Aye helps control insect populations, while the Gharial keeps fish populations in check. Instead of fearing these fascinating beings, let’s celebrate their importance! So this Halloween, remember: not all that is scary is harmful! #Halloween

Reinventing conservation to prevent the Sixth Mass Extinction.
About us
Conservation X Labs is creating a new model for conservation, built on the exponential technologies & connectivity, coupled with financial and behavior change innovations, and scaled through the private sector, partnerships with conservation organizations, and collaborations with governments and intergovernmental entities. By harnessing the democratization of science and technology, we can finally allow conservation to operate at the pace and on the scale necessary to keep up with and even get head of the planet’s most intractable environmental challenges. There is a clear need to accelerate conservation solutions, harness new technologies, and draw upon new solvers and new solutions through new approaches. Importantly, we also know we can work through the private sector to improve the efficacy, impact, sustainability, and scale of conservation efforts while building sustainable income for communities that rely on those resources. Finally, humans are at the center of conservation problems. Any approach to conservation needs to change the incentive structures, both in biodiversity-rich countries, and in those countries that generate the demand for products and goods that put pressure on those systems. We can apply what we know from behavior and psychology, marketing, and social media to shift demand and incentive structures. Much as humans have created the problems, we have the means to solve them.

Happy World Lemur Day! Did you know that there are over 100 species of lemurs, making them one of the most diverse primate groups in the world? Native to Madagascar, these intelligent and unique creatures play a crucial role in their ecosystem as seed dispersers and even pollinators, helping to sustain the health of the forests they inhabit. Habitat loss and hunting have put nearly all lemur species at risk of extinction, with some facing the dire threat of disappearing altogether. At Conservation X Labs, lemurs hold a special place in our hearts. Our commitment to protecting these primates inspires us to seed solutions and spread technology, knowledge, and ideas to address the world’s biggest biodiversity challenges.
