  • Job Announcement – Full-Time Official Driver Consuatel-General of Japan in Nashville   The Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville is seeking a Full-Time Official Driver. In addition to driving, drivers are also required to perform other office duties. It is not exhaustive and may be subject to change or modification based on business needs. 1.    Position: Full-Time Official driver to the Consul-General 2.    Employer            Consulate-General of Japan in Nashville 3. Working Conditions: ·      8:30am – 5:15pm Monday through Friday (lunch break 12:30pm – 1:30pm) ·      May be asked to work some evenings and weekend/holidays (including overnight travel) for special events (paid overtime) ·      Holidays: US federal and some Japanese national holidays, and annual paid leave. ·      Benefits: Medical Insurance (80% premium paid by employer) ·      Dental Insurance (80% premium paid by employer) 4. Eligibility Criteria: ·      Must be a U.S. citizen or a U.S. green card holder ·      Must be at least 21 years of age and have a clean driving record ·      Previous working experience as a chauffeur-hired driver preferred ·      Expert knowledge of Nashville area preferred ·      Strong work ethic, flexibility, and multi-tasking skills desirable ·      Must be able to carry and lift up to 65 lbs. ·      Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language. ·      Must be able to work with minimal supervision, report to work regularly and on-time, and be self-motivated. ·      Basic computer skills required. 5. Vehicle Maintenance: ·      Coordinates periodic servicing and monitors mechanical repairs by dealers or other automotive service centers. ·      Washes, vacuums, and cleans vehicles ensuring vehicle is presentable. ·      Fuels vehicles as necessary. 6. Selection Process: Applications will be reviewed and selected applicants will be contacted directly to schedule an interview.
