A huge shout out to the incredible community organizers in Imperial County who dedicate their lives to making a difference! Over the past couple of weeks, the CTR team got together and all chipped in to donate essential school supplies to help young kids as they head back to school. These supplies will go to many young students who need that extra support to get to school, to stay in school, and to thrive. We are so grateful to the Forgotten Angels, to the Calipatria Latin American Club, and to Turning Point for all the work they do! From little things, big things grow… Let’s keep growing together!

A warm congratulations to the Calipatria Youth Basketball Comets who returned from Las Vegas last week with the second place in the Las Vegas Hoopsteria Tournament. Well done to Coach Jacob Spence and the whole team! The importance of team work is learned right here and will carry through to all aspects of these young student’s lives. Go Comets! #teamspirit #cleanenergy #cleanlithium #cleanjobs #cleanfuture

Congratulations to Fastmarkets for an outstanding event this year! It was a pleasure to join Ryan Kelley, Jesus Eduardo Escobar, Trelynd Bradley, and Justin Yang to discuss the vision for Lithium Valley. The County of Imperial has developed a world-class Specific Plan and Programmatic Environmental Impact Report which provides a clear pathway to build the world’s most sustainable clean energy hub. This is the smartest and most comprehensive development model I’ve seen and I commend the County’s leadership. Not only will this business-forward approach create thousands of quality jobs, it will spearhead battery supply chain independence in the United States. I encourage you to find out more: https://lnkd.in/gXgxw77w #gettingitdone #FastmarketsLBRM #cleanenergy #cleanlithium #cleanjobs #cleanfuture #lithiumvalley

It was an honor today to speak at Benchmark Mineral Intelligence #GigaUSA 2024 on the Next Generation of US Mining and Refining. Thanks to Caspar Rawles for moderating and distinguished panelists Robert Mintak CEO of Standard Lithium and Pat Risner President of the Hermosa Project, South32. We discussed building the future US supply-chain, outlining the role of innovation and strategic partnerships to accelerate domestic production, highlighting major domestic projects and the role these play in securing future supply. It was great to catch up for some face-to face time with so many industry partners and leaders including the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) General Motors, Aquatech, Koch Industries, BNP Paribas to name a few. #gigaUSA #cleanenergy #cleanlithium #cleanjobs #cleanfuture #lithiumvalleycampus

I’d like to acknowledge the great leadership of the County of Imperial and the Imperial Irrigation District this week as the IID Board adopted a Resolution Reinforcing Colorado River Resources and Local Water Management Commitments to Serve Community Water Demands, Including Lithium Valley. “The resolution reiterates IID’s commitment to managing its Colorado River water entitlement to support existing, new, and changing water uses, including projected demands from Lithium Valley, while continuing to serve its long-standing agricultural and other community water users.” CTR applauds this responsible and equitable water management initiative! It was a great day for the County of Imperial as Imperial Valley College launched its second LIFT Training program for Chemical Lab Technicians. CTR is very proud to be involved and I’d like also to congratulate the students already enrolled in the Plant Operators program. Not only are we 100% committed to supporting the LIFT initiative, but we are just as committed to hiring students from these programs. The foresight that Imperial Valley College and Imperial County’s Workforce Development team had to build these programs over the last 3 years will ensure local students are ready for work. It’s incredibly encouraging and I thank you all for your efforts and for your commitment to supporting a local workforce. This is what great community teamwork looks like! #cleanenergy #cleanlithium #cleanjobs #cleanfuture #lithiumvalleycampus
