    The Day My Skeptical Daughter Became My Marketing Protégé Last week, I experienced a transformative moment when my 13-year-old daughter joined me for "Take Your Kid to Work Day." I'll admit I had my doubts at first. Was her interest in my work genuine, or did she just want to hang out with friends and enjoy the "glitz and glam" of marketing? But I decided to take a leap of faith and give her a chance to walk in my shoes. I threw her into the deep end with real work, starting with designing social media posts on Canva. I provided guidance and resources, but encouraged her to add her unique flair. What takes me 30 minutes took her 4 hours. But when she finished, we reviewed her work together, and I saw her eyes light up as she absorbed every piece of feedback. She applied those lessons to her next post, and I watched in awe as she tackled it with minimal guidance. Her dedication didn't stop there. She wanted to keep working into the evening! We shifted gears, and I involved her in a proposal where she was part of the target audience. After an intense 30-minute discussion, she was exhausted but had gained invaluable insights into the world of marketing. The next day, she shocked me by wanting to come home from school and dive right back in. I think I may have found my new summer intern! This experience taught me that our children's potential can catch us off guard in the most incredible ways. By giving them the opportunity to learn and grow, we can ignite their passion and help them discover their hidden talents. I'm beyond excited to see where this journey takes us and how my daughter's newfound dedication will shape her future.
