  • Congratulations to the first group of students enrolled in the newly introduced 15-month Thomas Edison State University (TESU) Accelerated BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper University Health Care (Cooper)! When reflecting on his first week, Ibrahim Jabbie, a nursing student in the first BAYADA Scholars Track cohort, emphasized the importance of the clinical training he’ll experience at Cooper. “I really wanted to learn in a best-in-class facility, and training at Cooper has allowed me to do that. With the small class size, we’ve had a lot of personalized attention. When I become a nurse, I think the transition will be much easier for me because of my training at Cooper.” Read more: https://bit.ly/4dvSXIa

We are proud to announce that students in the inaugural cohort of the Thomas Edison State University (TESU) Accelerated BSN BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper University Health Care have officially started their journey toward becoming compassionate and skilled nurses. In just a few short weeks, students are already immersed in hands-on learning in a state-of-the-art simulation lab and will begin clinical rotations at Cooper University Hospital next week. These dedicated students have already formed strong bonds, creating a close-knit community built on support, shared goals, and a passion for patient care. As they begin their rigorous studies and clinical experiences, they are also building lifelong friendships that will carry them through nursing school and beyond. It’s truly inspiring to see how they uplift one another, collaborate, and foster a sense of community as they work toward making a positive impact in health care. The BAYADA Education family is proud to support them every step of the way. For those interested in a career in nursing, The BAYADA Scholars Track at Cooper is taking applications for the next group of students who want to begin their journey as early as January 2025. Potential students can learn more about the program and apply at https://hubs.li/Q02RHX4J0. #BAYADAScholars #FutureNurses #NursingJourney #BEExtraordinary

  • Our Cooper Vein Center in Voorhees, NJ, has been granted accreditation by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) in Superficial Venous Treatment and Management! Well done, Cooper Team! “The prestigious IAC Vein Center Accreditation is a significant achievement for our Division of Vascular Surgery,” said Francis R. Spitz, MD, FACS, chairman and chief of Cooper’s Department of Surgery. “It is a testament to the dedication and expertise of our team in providing exceptional care for our patients. We are proud to be recognized by such a respected body and are honored to offer our patients the assurance of quality care that this ‘seal of approval’ represents.” More than half of Americans aged 50 and older are affected by varicose veins, a condition where blood pools in the leg veins due to malfunctioning valves. This can progress to chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) in some cases. The treatment of varicose veins requires specialized evaluation and management, and the IAC accreditation ensures that Cooper meets the rigorous standards for quality care.
