I thoroughly enjoyed participating in Corva's Hackathon. It's incredible how quickly you can develop an app in just 24 hours.

Core Geologic was thrilled to participate in Corva's Hackathon this year. Core introduced our app, 'Rock Navigator,' which assists oil companies in identifying challenges when realigning with their drill plans. The question remains for operators—is it drilling or geology related? Competing against 20 other companies, Core's app was awarded Best Innovation. Responsibilities: Provide geosteering for Bakken, Three Forks, and Ratcliffe (Madison) wells in the Williston Basin. · Collect cutting samples and compile geologic logs for vertical and horizontal wells · Document and analyze natural gas shows · Analyze gamma ray, resistivity, bulk density, and porosity tools in geosteering best practices · Prepare daily geologic reports and cross sections · Generate targets for the Directional Drillers and Operations Geologist while drilling Experience & Knowledge To be considered for this role, applicants must have the following qualifications: · Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Geology and/or 2+ years relevant industry experience in geosteering operations · Basic understanding of petroleum geology and drilling operations · Team player and faster learner · Handle pressure and work efficiently and safely in a fast-paced environment · Excellent communication skills and fluent in English. · Able to lift 40+lbs and work long hitches in the field (sometimes 3-4 weeks at a time) Software: · MS Office (Excel, Work, PowerPoint, Outlook) · Star Steer and Mudlogging software experience a plus recruitment@coregeologic.com
