Did you know that the same corporations that once profited from slavery are now heavily involved in the U.S. public education system? Now, they're profiting from the #SchoolToPrisonPipeline that disproportionately criminalizes Black and brown youth. This new documentary series from Corporate Accountability's Black Collective explores the connection between the U.S. education system and privatized prisons -- and how we can #BreakThePipeline together. We stop transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet.
About us
Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around—a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential. We have been been challenging corporate power since 1977. We wage strategic campaigns that compel transnational corporations and the governments that do their bidding to stop destroying our health, human rights, democracy, and planet. Together with our members, philanthropic partners, and allies, we have forced some of the most powerful transnational corporations to stop abusive practices—bringing about transformative change.

So much is, or will be, at risk under a second Trump administration. But this doesn’t mean that we give up. At Corporate Accountability, we're taking a moment to honor our feelings about the recent U.S. presidential elections. But we're also holding space for liberation. Because we know that people-power will always be more powerful than the racist, capitalist, and authoritarian agenda that seeks to divide us. Our commitment to our mission unwaveringly continues. Executive Director Patti Lynn reflects on how we will keep challenging corporate power, together, in this latest blog.

"If these plants go forward, they will further embed and expand the already stark racial injustices of the petrochemical industry." We need climate action that centers justice, not #BigPolluters' quick and ineffective techno-fixes that harm communities like Elksville, a historic Black community in St. Rose, just west of New Orleans.
