On Saturday, our President and CEO, Donnie Clary, was part of a two-man panel that spoke at the 2024 Energy Efficiency Summit and Fair hosted by Congressman Michael C. Burgess. Donnie spoke on energy, reliability and storm response, alongside John Dreyfuss, Vistra Energy's VP of Nuclear Support. The event was open to the public and sheds a light on the importance of timely and practical information when it comes to energy and electricity. We want to be a part of that conversation when it comes to educating the public and investing in our communities. Our Energy Education Team was also in attendance at the event with a booth demonstrating the importance of electric safety. #EnergyEfficiency #LocalGovernment #ElectricCoOp #StormResponse #Reliability #Community

From graphic design and accounting to engineering and gas construction, CoServ has a wide variety of career paths available. And every year we like to highlight those paths by hosting our annual Bring Your Child to Work Day, where we get to inspire the next generation. This year, 13 of our Employees brought their children to work for a full day of hands-on activities, during which the children learned not only what their parents do but also how all the departments work together to accomplish CoServ’s Mission. If you want to be a part of that Mission, CoServ is always hiring. Click here to learn more about career opportunities: Coserv.com/Careers/

This past weekend, 21 (including four judges) of our linemen competed in the Texas Lineman Rodeo in Seguin, TX. One of our journeyman lineman teams placed 𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼-𝗼𝗽 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 and 𝟱𝘁𝗵 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. We applaud them for their hard work and determination to bring it home this week! We are so grateful to be represented by such talented and skillful linemen. This competition allows linemen to put their skills on display and learn from their peers. It also highlights safe working practices and gives them extra hands-on training to grow their knowledge. They are also able to connect with their peers and share best practices while networking with other utilities.

From having a single-phase line decades ago to installing new high-capacity infrastructure capable of supporting thousands of new homes and businesses, this is just one example of the growth throughout our service area, as we add an average of 1,200 electric meters monthly to our system. Since 1937, we've been powering communities in North Texas, and none of it would be possible without our committed Employees and their dedication to excellence. It all started with 125 Employees and 1,300 hours; now, 20 years later, the CoServ Charitable Foundation (CCF) has distributed over $18 million in grants all over North Texas. The very first mission of CCF was to build a home for a single mother. Through Employee donations and fundraising, CCF raised $27,500 for a grant that was awarded to the Denton County Habitat for Humanity specifically for that house. “I remember we had good support from everyone here at CoServ and it seemed like everyone had a good time helping out,” said Perry Ancell, System Operations Manager. CCF is the epitome of the cooperative spirit at work. Read the full story of how it all began on our website: https://bit.ly/4aRDEs8
