We’re thrilled to announce that in 2025, Tri-County Electric Cooperative will award 50 high school seniors in its service territory scholarships totaling $250,000. That’s more than double the scholarships and funding we’ve awarded in the past. “We are proud to help illuminate more students’ futures and help fund their dream of going to college,” said Scott Spence, President and CEO of TCEC. Applications will be available online on Monday, October 7. To learn more about the program and eligibility requirements, go to https://lnkd.in/gBDn8tek. *Applications will be evaluated by an independent third party not affiliated with Tri-County Electric. Immediate family of Tri-County Electric's Leadership Team are not eligible to apply. #scholarships #education #TCEC #poweringpotential
About us
Tri-County Electric Cooperative is a member-owned electric provider based in Aledo, Texas. Since 1939, Tri-County Electric Co-op has provided safe and reliable energy to our member-owners across North Texas. With 9,294 miles of energized line and over 120,00 active meters, we are one of the largest electric co-ops in Texas. Electric cooperatives were created to serve rural areas that were too isolated for major power companies to service. Today, many co-ops find their service areas growing in population with increased residential, commercial and industrial consumers. Tri-County Electric Co-op certainly fits this description. Today, our service area covers 16 counties in North Texas. With offices in Aledo, Azle, Granbury, Keller, Munday and Seymour, Tri-County Electric Co-op is available to serve our members to the best of our ability. We cherish our Tri-County Electric Co-op roots and hold the seven cooperative principles to heart. - Voluntary and Open Membership - Democratic Member Control - Members' Economic Participation - Autonomy and Independence - Education, Training and Information - Cooperation Among Cooperatives - Concern for Community At Tri-County Electric Co-op, we pride ourselves in providing reliable service to our members at every level of our organization, from kind member service representatives to responsive linemen during outages. It is our goal to equip our members with energy-saving tips, electrical safety and benefits of membership. Here's a behind the scenes look of our very own, Lauren Baccus, MBA, speaking about the cooperative business model in a video that was played at the March Southlake Chamber of Commerce luncheon. Having opportunities to inform others about our cooperative and the cooperative model as a whole relates back to cooperative principle #5: education, training and information. #cooperatives #mytricountytx #tricountyteam
