This summer, COSI partnered with neighborhood-based summer camps to deliver our offsite STEAM experiences, Connects2You and Learning Lunchboxes, to students across the city! The students took a week-long journey to space by engineering a bottle rocket and learning all about the forces that propel its launch! Thanks to City of Columbus for the support that made this programming possible.

On July 8 and 9, 2024, students from Agastya International Foundation's intervention school attended the EiPIC India-2024 Workshop (Extracurricular Intellectual Property Innovation Center), which was organized by the Center of Science and Industry (COSI, Ohio, USA) in collaboration with the American Center (US Embassy, New Delhi). The two-day program introduced students to innovation and intellectual property rights (IPR) through presentations from COSI's Frederic "Dr. B" Bertley and Sara Leikin, as well as US IP Attorneys Kayla McCormick and Jessica Goebel. Students created a pitch deck for their concepts and participated in hands-on activities related to intellectual property rights (IPR), trademarks, and patents. Hot take: We wouldn't buy Apex. Our district spends $9 million on instruction— only 20% percent of what this stegosaurus cost. We love dinosaurs but if we had $45 million, that's just not how we'd spend it. What do you think? Our CEO, Frederic "Dr. B" Bertley, said it best! 🤔 💬 ⤵️ https://lnkd.in/g9s7EX6K @FredericBertley
