Cosmic's mission is to accelerate the transition to sustainable aviation.
About us
Cosmic's mission is to accelerate the decarbonization of aviation by building highly energy efficient all-electric passenger aircraft. We are developing the world's first electric aircraft with a usable flight range of up to 1000 km, enabling a coverage of 50% of global flights by range. We are achieving this through a novel clean sheet aircraft design that tightly integrates the design of the propulsion system, aircraft structures and aerodynamics to unlock an aircraft configuration with an unprecedented aerodynamic efficiency and lightweight structure.

Engine Prototype 1 is hitting the road! We have a special treat for those attending this year's The Drop conference: EP-1 will make its first public appearance. This is the real deal—no mock-ups, no renders—promise. You'll have the opportunity to see the engine up close and chat with us about why it matters. We look forward to seeing many of you in Malmö!

Say hello to our new engineering and manufacturing facility in Centennial, Colorado. Sized at 3,661 sqft with ample room for growth in a new industrial building and located just a 3-minute drive from one of the country's busiest general aviation airports, we've found the perfect spot for the design, development, and testing of our next hardware prototypes. We are pleased to join the strong aerospace ecosystem in the Denver area and are looking forward to our continued and expanding partnership with the region. Special thanks to the teams at the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and Denver South for giving us a warm welcome. Make sure to follow us to stay in the loop. #NewFacility #Engineering #Manufacturing #Aerospace #Prototyping #AerospaceDenver #DenverSouth #DenverMetroChamberOfCommerce

One question we frequently get is whether our engine prototype is real. Yes, it is! We have designed it, built it and tested it, in record time and on a record budget. Traditionally, aircraft engines and airframes are designed, developed and built by different manufacturers. We are changing that by owning the full airframe-propulsion system tech stack. What does that mean? More design control, tighter design integration and a holistic development approach between propulsion system and airframe, allowing us to do things differently, and better, than what is achievable with conventional decoupled development approaches. Most importantly: building electric aircraft with ultra-high efficiencies that can fly really fast and really far. If you want to know more, leave a like or let us know in the comments below, as we might expand this into an article or blog post. In the meantime, we're going back to building!
