We’re more than excited to be at New Mexico Oil and Gas Association’s Annual Meeting- Energizing New Mexico. It was a very special moment to hear from API - American Petroleum Institute Mike Sommers address the crowd to provide an update on the outlook of the American Oil and Gas Industry. “The obituary for the oil and gas industry has been written many times, but because of the innovation of this industry has continued to supply the world’s need in an efficient, responsible manner. Even if we meet our climate goals under the Paris Climate Agreement, we believe that in 2050, 50% of the world’s energy will still come from oil and gas. That energy should come from here and particularly from the state of New Mexico.” Thanks for everything, NMOGA!

Hunger Action Month coming to a close with a little help from our Midland Office! We were READY today to help the West Texas Food Bank stuff food pantry boxes to prepare for the upcoming holiday season in the second annual Boom Town Showdown! We pulled into FIRST place this morning, let's see if we can hold the lead... We were honored to be a part of helping to support the West Texas Food Bank reach its goal for the families of West Texas. For the last year, Coterra Energy's External Affairs team has been collaborating with the Global Industry Standards team within the API - American Petroleum Institute (API) to identify opportunities between our energy and STEM engagement. After many thoughtful conversations, this partnership took its first step forward. On August 28, API donated its industry best practice standards to Pennsylvania College of Technology's School of Engineering Technologies. This incredible gift will enhance the welding & fabrication and non-destructive testing programs, giving students hands-on experience with the standards for designing and constructing equipment in the oil and natural gas industry.
