Founded in 1888, the not-for-profit Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital has been serving the community for more than 125 years. Cottage Health, formed in 1996 as the not-for-profit parent organization of Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital and its affiliated Cottage Children’s Medical Center, Cottage Rehabilitation Hospital, Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital, and Santa Ynez Valley Cottage Hospital, is guided by a volunteer board of directors from the greater Santa Barbara community and provides the residents of the Central and South Coast with exemplary health care, continuous improvements in medical practice, and a commitment to our communities.     Cottage Primary Care is pleased to share that providers Roger I. Lane, MD, FACP and Pablo Rojas, PA-C, have moved offices to Cottage Primary Care—Santa Ynez Valley. In addition, the practice welcomes Nicole Sheikholeslami, MD, to the team. This move will bring the entire Cottage Primary Care—Santa Ynez Valley medical team together in one convenient location, providing more space and updated facilities.     Today, we announced that Cottage Health is creating new home buying opportunities for our employees by planning two new options that will offer 204 new homes in the Santa Barbara area for local healthcare professionals to purchase at below-market prices. Our new workforce homes will follow in the footsteps of a program proven successful with its Bella Riviera location, built more than a decade ago with 81 affordable homes for its healthcare workforce. Cottage Health’s workforce homes at Bella Riviera have shown the impact affordable homes have on employee retention, and the high demand for more options like this. https://lnkd.in/dh2F48kC

This annual program is available to high school graduates, current college students, and recent college graduates. Planning is already underway for Summer 2025.
