About us
The Council for Disability Income Awareness (CDIA) is a non-profit organization with the mission to help all working people understand the importance of maintaining an income stream when they need to temporarily--or permanently--leave the workplace due to illness, injury or life events such as the birth of a child. The CDIA provides helpful resources and information to working people, their families, the media, employers, and anyone concerned about the impact illness, injury, accidents, surgeries, and pregnancies can have on the finances and lifestyle of families. The CDIA aims to expand public awareness of the likelihood and impact of disability and to demonstrate the value of financial planning.
