I have some AMAZING news to share 🎉 After 4 weeks and 2 days in Amazon jail, our Couple's Coffee account was officially reinstated yesterday. Within hours, our sales machine was back up and running. ☕ 🚀 The past month has been so disheartening, but the support I've received from the LinkedIn community has been absolutely incredible. So many of you reached out with advice, support, and kind words—and I appreciate every single one of you! 🙏 While I’m still disappointed in Amazon after experiencing firsthand how poorly sellers are treated, I’m also excited to be back and for the road ahead. This experience has been an eye-opener—dare I say, a blessing in disguise. We’re now shifting our focus to prioritize our brand and personal website above Amazon. Our Shopify store is just a few weeks away from launch, and I couldn’t be more excited about the new opportunities! Thank you again to everyone who helped us navigate this deactivation mess—y’all are the best! ❤️

Monday, October 28, will mark 4 weeks since our Couple's Coffee Amazon Seller Account was abruptly shut down. The reason? Amazon flagged an account they believed was associated with ours, causing a ripple effect that took us down too. Important note: We have never met or spoken to the owners of this brand. That’s 4 weeks of lost sales. 4 weeks of dampened momentum. And worst of all, 4 weeks of disappointed customers. The hardest part has been hearing from loyal customers through comments and messages on social media, asking when and where they can get their favorite coffee blends. Not being able to deliver to them honestly feels like a personal failure. 💔 I’m frustrated that Amazon’s mistake is impacting my customers’ experience. The trust we’ve built is everything, and this has been a wake-up call. Lesson learned: I will never again rely solely on Amazon to serve my customers. As convenient as it can be, I’ve seen firsthand how a platform's decision can impact not just sellers but also the consumers who matter most. The good news? 🎉 Our Shopify store design is complete, and we’re working hard to build it out. This will be a new path for us—one where we’re in control of the customer experience from start to finish. Now, I need your help. 👉 Do you have any advice on promoting and advertising for Shopify? If you’ve successfully transitioned from Amazon to Shopify, I’d love to hear your strategies, wins, and lessons learned. Thank you all in advance—your insights mean the world to us as we rebuild. ☕ #ecommerce #shopify #smallbusinessowner #amazonseller #entrepreneurship #d2c

If you were buying this bag of coffee for someone you'd like to meet under the mistletoe this holiday season, which one would you prefer to gift? 🎅💋🤶

When it comes to launching new products, getting the design just right is everything. As I prepare to launch a variety of seasonal coffee flavors for Couple's Coffee, I found myself debating between two label designs for our upcoming blend, "Meet Me Under the Mistletoe." The big question: Should Santa and Mrs. Claus be kissing or simply smiling? After running a PickFu poll, it turns out most people preferred Santa smiling instead of sharing a kiss with Mrs. Claus. Some of the comments were eye-opening: 👉 “Option A appeals to more people – the kissing is off-putting.” 👉 “The kiss is weird and could be polarizing, no pun intended!” 👉 “I prefer them greeting with cookies rather than kissing. It feels too intimate.” 📊 The Results: Option A (smiling) got 36 votes, while Option B (kissing) trailed with 14. However, there were still a few champions for the kiss: ❤️ “Love B – the Clauses kissing under the mistletoe is adorable!” ❤️ “B ties perfectly with the packaging message.” ❤️ “Santa kissing Mrs. Claus makes sense, considering the name of the blend.” Interestingly, many of those who picked Option A were drawn to the dark blue snowy background over the lighter teal of Option B and made no mention of "kiss" or "no kiss." It got me wondering: Would moving the kissing couple to a more “Christmas-y” background change the results? 💭 I’m now deciding whether to stick with the current PickFu winner or create a new iteration and run another test. What do you think? How do you feel about Santa kissing his wife under the mistletoe? Shoutout to Tracy Turner for designing these awesome coffee labels! #ABTesting #BrandOwner #ProductDesign #AmazonFBA #AmazonSeller

Our goal is to launch a Shopify store so that we can continue to fulfill orders if we are ever in circumstances like this again. Thank you for your understanding and patience 🙏

On October 1st, our Couple's Coffee Amazon account was deactivated through no fault of our own. We purchased our company in July 2023, and unfortunately, the previous owner was associated with an account (from a company he didn’t even own) that violated Amazon's TOS and got deactivated. Amazon assumed we were linked to this account, despite us having no connection to it, and shut us down. It's been almost a week without sales, and each day it stings a bit more. We’ve spent hours on phone calls with Seller Support and filed multiple appeals, all of which were declined within minutes. It’s been a frustrating and exhausting process, and eventually, we had to bite the bullet and hire a consulting group to step in. Now, we wait and pray that Amazon doesn't shut us down for good. This timing is extremely disappointing as we were just weeks away from launching 4 new coffee blends: 🎃 Hello, Pumpkin (Pumpkin Spice) 🥐 Love Your Buns (Cinnamon Bun) ☕ Kama Sumatra (Single Origin Sumatra) 🛏 Breakfast in Bed (Breakfast Blend) We’ll likely miss the pumpkin spice trend this season, which stings even more. While we pivot to prioritize our Shopify store, we’ll continue working on new blends and new product designs (Mrs. & Mr. coffee mugs are in the works), but this whole experience has been a harsh reminder of how quickly things can change, especially when it’s beyond your control. To everyone who reached out and offered advice or support—thank you. Hearing stories from other Amazon Sellers who have been in similar situations has been incredibly helpful and gives us hope for light at the end of this tunnel.

🚨 Amazon Account Deactivation Alert 🚨 Yesterday morning, my husband and I woke up to the message every Amazon seller dreads — your Couple's Coffee Amazon Seller Central Account has been deactivated. No warnings, no inquiries — just a total shutdown. This came completely out of the blue, as we’ve had zero historical issues, perfect account health, and have always followed the rules. So what happened? Apparently, the account of the party we purchased from 18 months ago was deactivated, and Amazon assumed we were associated with them. We purchased through Empire Flippers — Buy, Sell & Invest In Online Businesses, a highly reputable broker managing thousands of business purchases, yet Amazon flagged us. We’ve submitted every document imaginable — purchase agreements, trademarks, GS1 handoffs, you name it. But Amazon Seller Central still says it’s not enough to prove we’re not connected to the previous account. Last night, my husband tweeted on X, and while Amazon Seller Help quickly responded asking for a DM, we’ve yet to hear anything back. Countless calls and hours spent submitting appeals, and this morning, we were automatically declined within 10 minutes of submitting an appeal — clearly not enough time to actually review the documentation we provided. This experience has been a serious wake-up call. While we’ve been slowly building our Shopify site, this incident will accelerate that process. In the next three years, Amazon will become a secondary channel for our business. We can’t afford a single point of failure in our business, and we won’t rely on a partner that lacks proper customer support for sellers in the world's largest marketplace. 💡 The takeaway? Diversify. Build your Shopify funnel, invest in wholesale, and strengthen multiple revenue channels. Don't put all your eggs in one basket. Has anyone else cracked the code on getting Amazon to actually read appeals and documentation? We need help 📣 #AmazonSellerCentral #AmazonFBA #AmazonSeller #AmazonSellerHelp #SellerCentralAccountDeactivation

Who is excited to try our new Blueberry flavored coffee? ☕ 🫐

Ok, this feels like a tie to me, so I need your help choosing! Tracy Turner designed these beautiful bags for the new Couple's Coffee Blueberry Flavored Coffee, and I'm torn between the two designs. Typically when we test our product designs on PickFu, there's a clear winner. Not this time! Here are a few highlights from the participant responses 👇 The bag without a bow: 💭 The bow on the other package makes it feel too feminine and formal. This bag design feels more laid-back and informal. 💭 I don't care for the ribbon and bow on B, and I like the font for "Something Blue" on option A. 💭 As a regular consumer of gourmet coffee the ribbon on the bag is a turn off to me 💭 I prefer this design because I think the cursive writing of Something Blue makes it seem more fancy and special. This, to me, would symbolize a special coffee like this is. 💭 The design is simple and clean, with a teal color background and white text. The text stands out well, and the overall look is minimalist and modern. The bag with a bow: 💭 I tend to like the little ribbon design on this chosen option, it feels more like a gift. 💭 I like the product packaging better with the ribbon as it allows me to buy this as a gift and don't really need to add much else to it 💭 The one with the ribbon design stands out and makes the product more noticeable or bold looking to me. I also like the font used. I do like the cursive in the other but I think the font choice if B is bolder. 💭 I think I prefer the font on B. It's just nicer, easier to read, more elegant. A's font is a little spindly and insubstantial. 💭 I love this one as this looks like a fun present and a gift for me, which is something that gets my attention right away. Respondents either LOVED the bow or HATED it. Tell me your thoughts in the comments below 💬 Bow or no bow? 🎁 💝

📣 Big News from Couple's Coffee! ☕ I'm excited to share that Couple's Coffee is undergoing a major rebrand! We're rolling out a fresh logo, updated branding, redesigned coffee bags, a new website, and, of course, new coffee flavors 🚀 To help with our logo design, we partnered with a very talented designer who presented us with a few different options. Although we had our favorites, we wanted to get feedback, so we turned to PickFu for some community-powered A/B testing. Here's what we found: ☕ Option A: Was appreciated for its distinctive use of blue, which many found unique and striking. One voter commented, "I prefer option A because of the colors. The coloring was what caught my attention first." And another said, "I like the unique color on this one. It's an unusual color, so it stands out to me." Yet, Option A seemed to resonate less with those looking for warmth in our brand. 💖 Option B: Came out as a clear favorite (which I was personally happy to see), largely due to the heart that aligns with our brand’s theme of love and connection. Respondents felt this option communicated warmth and appeal more effectively. One response said, "The heart detail really makes B the best choice to me! It's an adorable touch to the coffee logo and a perfect fit with the name." Another voter said, "I like the heart shape, makes me think the coffee is made with love." While we're obviously leaning toward Option B with the heart, there's a slight problem...the heart is intended to be pink, yet respondents described it as orange, brown, and yellow—colors it definitely isn't. Some of the responses that made me feel like the pink isn't resonating are: 💬 "...the orange looks visually better than the green." 💬 "The brown heart is the same color as coffee, so it feels more relevant." 💬 "I like the light brown color used for the logo in B. It matches a mocha drink or a coffee with creamer." 💬 And my favorite..."I like the little yellow heart it makes the company seem caring and friendly." 🙈 This confusion over the color, coupled with the love for the blue in Option A, has me wondering if we should make the heart blue, merging the favorite aspects of both options. As we narrow it down, I'd love to get your feedback: ❓ Which logo do you prefer? ❓ What color do you think the heart should be? ❓ Do you like the heart connecting the cups or the heart steam option (see comments for logo image)? Your feedback is very appreciated as we finalize the new look of Couple's Coffee. This is an exciting phase for us, and I can't wait to share the final results with you! #BrandRelaunch #LogoDesign #ABTesting #AmazonFBA #AmazonBrand #BrandingKit

Yesterday, we honored and remembered the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. For millions of families, Memorial Day isn’t just a national holiday; it holds profound significance as a tribute to the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Each memorial pays homage to a fallen American and their family, who had to endure, pick up the pieces, and live out the legacy left behind. Memorial Day is a reminder of the immense cost of freedom. Let us never forget the bravery and selflessness of those who gave everything for us. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
