Accelerating the future of connected vehicles
About us
The Connected Vehicle Systems Alliance (COVESA), formerly known as the GENIVI Alliance, is a global, member-driven alliance focused on the development of open standards and technologies that accelerate innovation for connected vehicle systems, resulting in a more diverse, sustainable and integrated mobility ecosystem. COVESA is the only alliance focused solely on developing open standards and technologies for connected vehicles, which now form a growing percentage of vehicles on the road. Leveraging vehicle data and vehicle-to-cloud connectivity has become a primary goal of automakers and their suppliers. More information on COVESA projects can be found on the COVESA Wiki at https://at.projects.covesa.global/.

The vSomeIP project is one of COVESA’s most dynamic initiatives, often called a “hidden gem” with hundreds of GitHub forks. It plays a crucial role along VSS, providing a unified communication framework for exchanging data in connected vehicles. While VSS defines how vehicle data is organized, vSomeIP establishes a standardized protocol for seamless data exchange, simplifying integration and interoperability across diverse systems. 🔍 Explore the details in our latest blog post, including insights from Critical Software on the SOME/IP protocol. 🌐 Read now: https://lnkd.in/gvMXhVyE #COVESA #vSomeIP #ConnectedVehicles #VSS #CriticalSoftware

From: "Whole Blood: The Next Frontier for EMS" 🩸 Early whole blood administration improves outcomes. Patients with penetrating trauma and low blood pressure who received prehospital whole blood had a 7% in-hospital mortality rate, significantly lower than those who received blood after hospital arrival. Washington, D.C. fire and EMS paramedics saw a 92% survival rate for patients not in cardiac arrest and 77.2% for those in cardiac arrest after launching a whole blood program. A large-scale study of nearly 1,400 trauma patients found a 60% improvement in 30-day survival rates with whole blood compared to component therapy. A South Texas initiative saw trauma-related deaths drop nearly 50% following the introduction of prehospital whole blood transfusions. https://lnkd.in/d3rKDy7J
