The process began six years ago with community input sessions. On October 29, 2024, ground was broken for Covington's first permanent City Hall in half a century. The new 40,000 square foot multi-story facility, smack dab between the Kenton County Public Library branch and the post office, is designed to be a community gathering space both inside and out--in addition to providing better functionality that City Hall locations in the past five decades. It's the culmination of great vision by Mayor Joseph Meyer and the entire City Commission, along with help from great private sector partners: designers Brandstetter Carroll Inc. and Elevar Design Group, city agent J.S. Held LLC and builder Pepper Construction Group. Coincidentally, all of them CBC member companies. 😊 Ben Brandstetter, Kim Patton, Bo Hubbard, Jeffrey Evans, Ron Washington, Timothy Downing, Shannon Smith, Steve Hayden

Immersion Alley is technically called a mural but is much more. Dedicated on the first evening of BLINK, it combines fine-art with interactivity, 3D and scavenger hunts. It's the brainchild of Amy Milburn and is located along Tobacco Alley leading to Wenzel Whiskey and the Pickle Factory off Madison Avenue.

We hope you can join us on November 7th for our Annual Dinner, where we not only celebrate a year of success with our members, but also honor Tony Kreutzjans of Orleans Development with the Founder Award. Kreutzjans formed Orleans Development in 2005 after spending eight years in construction and project management with Ashley Development, Inc., a Northern Kentucky residential and commercial builder. Since founding Orleans Development, Kreutzjans has created a niche as a developer, owner, property manager, and contractor of historic and newly constructed properties in Northern Kentucky. Over the past nine years, Kreutzjans has developed more 250 residential units and roughly 80,000 square feet of commercial space. Orleans Development has invested tremendous time and resources into developing residential and mixed-use buildings in the Northern Kentucky river cities. The company’s projects include The Bradford Building, Boone Block, Market Lofts, Pike Street Lofts, Pike Star, and biologic in Covington; the Kent Lofts in Bellevue; and the Burton Building in Dayton. Driven by a passion for architecture and historical restoration, Kreutzjans and his team continue to develop and maintain quality residential and commercial products in the urban core.
