When your life is a creative project, you start with openness.  → Creatives don’t predict outcomes.  → They explore to discover them.  → Process becomes the focus. Is it just me or does it feel hard to be open about your business? Part of me wants to share my struggles in creating a business.  Another says keep it to yourself or risk losing credibility. Yet my zone of genus isn’t business.  It’s blending creativity with body awareness to make decisions easier and that stick.  I can talk about that for hours without a script. Yet when it comes to creating a business, I always feel like I’m squeaking by. So I used the tools I teach my clients. ✦ Deep Breaths ✦ Body Awareness ✦ Option Finder Tool ✦ Unite Body + Thinking ✦ Outcome Projection Principle I decided to be more open in my journey creating my business. (And I’ll create a hypnosis recording to help support me.) I came up with 3 questions I’m going to use as a guide as I share my struggles in business. → What am I really doing? → How am I navigating it? → Why do I want it? I’ll also be sharing them in with my email list.  Where I’ll be sharing many of the tools I use to overcome indecision, time wasters, and energy drainers… how I navigate it all. You can get on the list with the link in my bio. This won’t be every post.  I’ll continue to share how you can move past your limited thinking.

You know your ‘why’.  It’s important to you. So why do you keep on sabotaging yourself? Like that time you wanted a cookie. And tell yourself you are eating better. But after eating the grapes, then baby carrots, an apple, and a few crackers. You still eat a few cookies. Then it’s regret, frustration, hopelessness. Why can’t I just stick to the plan? You can discipline yourself…  But then you unleash and go all out.  It’s your thinking and body going in opposite directions. And when that happens, you fall back into the patterns of the past. Because it’s easier.  Less confusing for your mind. You see, your mind likes to stay the same. Cause it takes less energy. When you get your thinking and your body united on the same path, that’s when decisions not only stick… You don’t have buyer’s remorse. This summer I knew I wanted to work half days so we could go have some fun. In the past, I would have snuck in work. So I made sure my thinking and body collaborating. Connecting the stories in my head with my body. The results: → No regrets. → No work snacks. → Just fun hanging with my son. Have you ever connected the stories you tell yourself to your body? That's what we did this week in module 4 of Create Your Way. We are building our awareness foundation. ✦ ✦ ✦ Hi.  I’m Tricia Edwards. I use body awareness to help make decision making effortless and comfortable in my Create Your Way program.  Are you tired of not trusting your choices? https://lnkd.in/gdtVh5e3

I used to drink a lot of Starbucks when I worked my 9-5. But now that I work from home, I rarely go there. - I can easily make coffee at home (I like what I make) - Takes less time to make it at home and that's helpful with back-to-back meetings But about 3-4 times a month, I like to go grab one. Sometimes the thought will keep popping into my mind, even if I don’t feel like reloading the app with cash (some days I get like that). I'd go back & forth in my mind.  Do I?  Don't I? Spending 10-20 minutes in indecision. Then doubting if I made the right decision. Every decision has: - time before - time after How are you spending that time? Now I know.  I decide.   And it sticks without the extra judgement. It comes with ease. And deciding feels good. ✦ ✦ ✦ Hi.  I’m Tricia. I used to think mindset was all I needed to fix myself: ∾ Finding all my thoughts ∾ Reframing negative to positive ∾ Avoiding the emotions that felt icky They all focus on 1 part:  the mind. It’s limited progress without your body. But when you blend it with your body’s language. ✥ Notice your body positions & posture ✥ Where & how you feel sensations ✥ When you are stuck and not You build your awareness from the inside-out. Rather than fixing, you find your harmony. Using your unstuck data with intention. → Like smiling, a genuine smile. → Then recalling a time you were angry. → It’s hard to be angry when you are smiling. This is getting unstuck with Body-Led Expression. It’s how you can tap your creative flow. Even when you don’t feel creative.

Starting anything with doubt can make it: ▸ feel hard to do ▸ seem it’s not worth it ▸ easier to procrastinate And your outcomes reflect your starting point, your doubt. Not that your doubt predicts, but it does influence actions you take. So reverse it. Imagine the feeling you want, your outcome. Embody it before starting. And see how your results change. Need help with it? Get Move Through Flow workbook. It's yours. ⬇︎ https://lnkd.in/gT8VExyh

The 1 mistake I see people make when looking for options. They only look for what they see. It's like looking through a bug splattered windshield. The visibility is bad, so squint and hope for the best. Creativity is like cleaning the windshield. - It clears the mess. - You see more. - More clearly. Do it on repeat, and you build your confidence. The number 1 benefit my Daily Spark clients tell me from having a 1-minute daily creative practice is "I'm more confident." Practicing free flowing expression to let your imagination breathe is 1 part of the secret. There’s 3 parts total. The 2 are about the inputs and outputs. When you engineer your practice to align with all 3 parts, you only need 1 minute a day. Creativity expands the limitations of your thoughts. PS. You can get a taste for Daily Spark ⬇︎

What is “taking inspired action"? The idea of it sounds fantastic. But then you go to do it, and you get confused on the steps. And when we don’t have those action steps, we start to complicate it. We add rules. Create criteria. And make it hard. I’m very familiar with this process and maybe you are too? So I take the phrase at face value.  1. Get inspired. 2. Take action. → Simple. I treat it as a step 1, 2 process. Just like I would if I were making art. 1. Get inspired. 2. Sketch. → Simple. What’s your action plan for taking inspired action? PS. Not sure how to inspire yourself? That’s how the Move Through Fear Workbook can help. It’s in simple - no fluffly - language with examples of how to find your inspiration. Get it for free. ⬇︎
