Credit Union 1 is proud to support women’s sports by being the Title Sponsor of the Missouri Valley Conference and the Coastal Athletic Association Women’s Basketball Championship Tournaments. Linnelle Clark-Lane M.S. had the honor of accepting the championship round game ball of the Missouri Valley Tournament on behalf of CU1 and spent time connecting with fans, student-athletes, and university partners throughout the tournament. At CU1, we believe in empowering female athletes both on and off the court. By investing in women’s sports, we are helping create more opportunities, greater visibility, and stronger support for the next generation of leaders.  

What a weekend! Credit Union 1 was honored to be the Title Sponsor of the Mid-American Conference Basketball Championship Tournament in Cleveland and the Presenting Sponsor of the Mountain West Conference and Big West Conference Basketball Championships in Las Vegas. Our team connected with university partners and joined SiriusXM, Las Vegas Live, and ESPN to discuss CU1’s commitment to financial literacy for college athletes and how CU1 provides the tools they need to succeed beyond their collegiate careers. We had a great time hosting the Shoot Your Shot Challenge, where several participants showed their 3-point skills and one lucky participant nailed the half-court shot at the buzzer to win the $500 prize! Moments like these, along with other in-game activations, help make the tournament experience unforgettable. We can’t wait to cheer on the winning teams in their upcoming tournaments.

Next month, CU1 is hosting a free Digital Banking 101 Workshop at our Lombard, IL branch to help members build confidence in managing their finances online. In today’s digital world, banking should be simple. This workshop is designed to provide the tools and knowledge needed to navigate online banking with ease, security, and confidence. As the Presenting Sponsor of the Missouri Valley Conference Men’s Basketball Championship in St. Louis, Sam had the honor of accepting the game ball on behalf of CU1 and engaging with fans throughout the event. Credit Union 1 is also the Title Sponsor of the West Coast Conference Championship Tournament for both men’s and women’s basketball in Las Vegas. During the tournament, Sam joined ESPN to discuss how CU1 is supporting student athletes through financial literacy initiatives designed to help them build a strong foundation for success beyond their collegiate careers.
