Way to go, CREOKS Stillwater/Pawnee and community partners! Your quick response earlier this month to provide pallets of water to Cushing during their water emergency is a testament to the power of community. Women’s Equality Day commemorates the passage of the 19th Amendment to the US Constitution in 1920, which granted women the right to vote. The day serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggle for gender equality and women’s rights. It’s an occasion to celebrate the achievements and contributions of women throughout history and raise awareness about the work still needed to achieve full equality. Various events, discussions, and activities are held on this day to highlight the importance of women’s empowerment and their role in shaping society.
