Last week's Annual #Pittsburgh Crew Wine Dinner was literally out of this world! We had a record number of attendees at the Carnegie Science Center. Even the City itself wanted to participate by showcasing some spontaneous and beautiful fireworks. We enjoyed delicious wine pairings with Brandon Giles and Southern Glazer's Wine & Spirits. The Community Action Committee hosted a Dress for Success Event on October 2nd! #DressforSuccess is a national and international organization that relies on donations of time and money to rebuild wardrobes and provide professional attire for unemployed and underemployed women to thrive in work and life.  Many beautiful items were sorted by size, season and intended use. Their three Mobile Boutiques and Brick and Mortar Boutique in Lawrenceville provide a unique and thoughtful experience.  https://lnkd.in/ehPereB9

Distinguished CRE leaders and speakers shared these key takeaways to lead with authenticity in your personal and professional life: ⭐️ Be true to yourself. ⭐️ Be flexible to adapt to your teams for greater success. ⭐️ Mentor others and seek knowledge from the mentors surrounding you. ⭐️ Everyone’s style is different - learn from others and use what works for you. ⭐️ If you want something, you need to speak up because not everyone will know what your ambitions are. ⭐️ Hone your professional presentation skills as you grow your career. ⭐️ Continuously learn from new experiences. ⭐️ Take calculated risks. ⭐️ You don’t need to know everything but you do need to listen. ⭐️ There’s no growth in the comfort zone. ⭐️ Don’t dwell on mistakes, learn from them and move on. ⭐️ Be confident, but humble I hope you enjoyed watching my journey to CREW Convention 2024. #SocialMediaTakeover The first part of the day at CREW Network Fall Leadership Summit was packed with updates shared with everyone in attendance. Wendy Mann encouraged us to have the explorer mindset for new engagement in our membership and to lead others to open their minds and hearts to what CREW has to offer. We were reminded that all CREW chapters are united as ‘One CREW’. Karen Whitt encouraged us to use our ‘CREWnections’ as we all share in this network of people focused on advancing women within the commercial real estate industry. We often hear ‘there are no cold calls in CREW’. Jennifer Campbell coached the group of 290 people to get rid of the ‘head trash’… you know, the hypercritical innervoice that fills you with self-doubt? That one. This is one of the first steps to keep yourself authentic and to hold yourself and others accountable. One of the best ways we can become strong leaders and mentors is to learn from the experiences of other chapter leaders.
