Raw material resource potential in Greenland If you are interested in the raw material resource potential in Greenland I can highly recommend the links below. Greenlandic critical minerals The review highlights Greenland's mineral-rich areas, particularly in Gardar province and other regions, as promising for hosting Critical Raw Materials (CRMs) identified by the European Commission in 2023. Notable deposits include Ilímaussaq, Malmbjerg, Sarfartoq, and the Thule black sands province. The focus is on undiscovered deposits in underexplored regions, presenting opportunities for critical minerals such as rare earth elements, lithium, molybdenum, strontium, platinum group metals, titanium, vanadium, tungsten, tin, antimony, phosphorus, and more. You can find the review here: https://lnkd.in/dw78NXYR The Greenland Mineral Resources Portal The Greenland Mineral Resources Portal serves as a comprehensive hub for information on mineral resources in Greenland. It provides mineral exploration companies, scientists, and other stakeholders with access to data, reports, maps, and scientific background information. For instance, in the case of Nickel Occurrences, the portal offers information on major nickel occurrences, a downloadable data package, and an interactive web map. The Greenland Mineral Resources Portal: https://www.greenmin.gl/ Explore and invest in Greenland 25 of the 34 critical raw materials identified by the EU Commission as strategically important for Europe's industry, the green transition (and our daily modern life) can be found in Greenland. Below an informative (a bit older - but perhaps more relevant now than ever?) video from Greenland's Mineral Resources Authority "The investors will need to understand that once all of theese deposits will be developed Greenland is the place to go." The Growing Demand for Copper - AI's Role In September this year BHP, the world’s largest miner, raised concerns about the growing adoption of AI due to its energy-intensive computing needs, which could drive up global copper demand. So, as AI technology evolves and becomes more integrated into everyday applications, AI will play it's role in the expected significant rise in the demand for copper. BHP projects that by 2050, AI and data centres could increase copper demand by 3.4 million tonnes annually, rising from 1% to 6-7% of total demand. My best guess is that we probably are underestimating the number - a lot!

Big Tech’s Dependency on Critical Minerals: The Hidden Backbone of Innovation Today, Apple's market cap (~$3.5 trillion) is over 20 times larger than BHP Group's (~$150 billion), one of the largest mining companies globally. Tesla, a company heavily reliant on lithium and nickel for its electric vehicle batteries, is valued at around $760 billion, dwarfing the combined market cap of the world’s top five lithium producers. In today’s world, technology giants like Apple, Microsoft, Amazon, Google, and Tesla dominate the global economy, their influence extending beyond their industries into nearly every facet of modern life. Behind their impressive products—smartphones, laptops, electric vehicles, data centers, and more—there is an often overlooked but vital component: critical minerals. Without these minerals, the tech ecosystem as we know it would cease to exist. Follow us: https://lnkd.in/dSmbT99q Read more and sign up for our free reports:
