We are so glad Nick Urban and Jo Avent said yes! Thanks for sharing this Jacob Paul! So good. #talentwall #crosschq
Here's a fun one for a Friday... This is the Linkedin message I sent Nick Urban 8 years ago TODAY, which was effectively the start of TalentWall™ by Crosschq 🤩 I was his recruiter at a previous company, so I knew him, but not that well. After some pestering and persuading(as recruiters do) I eventually got him on a call where my pitch to him was basically that I had no money whatsoever to fund the idea, but worse case scenario we’d have a fun side project with a real user, me! 🙋🏻♂️😉 Even though his response was ‘well there’s nothing really fun about HR Software,’ he ultimately agreed 🙏 🙏 🙏 Shortly after, Jo Avent joined and the 3 of us were off to the races...well, Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings, bc we all had other full time obligations. 8 years later, with thousands of users and an acquisition by Crosschq, we went from what was supposed to be a 'fairly simple JavaScript app’ 🤣 to a Hiring Intelligence Platform and as exciting of a roadmap as ever. Anyway, I recently printed this message out and have it on my desk to serve as a daily reminder for so many things, personal and professional, that I won't get into here :)

Chq this out by our CEO Michael Fitzsimmons ⬇ What's your take? #crosschq #qualityofhire
Back in 2022, Crosschq surveyed talent leaders in the tech industry and asked a simple question: "Would you prioritize hiring one top performer or three average performers?" At that time, the hiring climate for many growth companies emphasized filling positions quickly, so it was not surprising that 73% selected the latter. Recently, we revisited the same group of talent leaders and asked the same question. The shift in priorities is remarkable. In 2024, 81% now prioritize hiring top performers, regardless of how long it takes. What's your take? Have you noticed a shift from prioritizing quantity to quality in your company's hiring? Have processes changed? Has time to hire gone up? Do you think Quality of Hire is increasing? (and, yes the word average sucks...we could have done better with our survey question) #hiringintelligence #qualityofhire

Great start to the National Association for Health Care Recruitment: Annual Conference! We’re energized by the incredible professionals we've met so far and excited about the conversations we're having around the quality of hire. Speaking of those professionals at NAHCR, thanks for spending time with us! It's been exciting for us to share how you can turn the Quality of Hire into an operational metric that guides hiring (sourcing and interviewing) activities to align with desired business outcomes. Your feedback and insights are invaluable. 🤩 We're at booth 308 all week - Barbi Castaldi and Jeff Skinner want to meet you! #booth308 #crosschq #hiringanalytics #qualityofhire

The Crosschq "Chq's on Us" train made another California stop, this time in the East Bay. Another great hang with awesome talent leaders from Amazon, AAA, Dialpad, HashiCorp, Indeed, Lap of Love, Twitch, and Udemy. It's amazing how much commonality there is in the challenges we are all facing whether our companies are 1,000 employees or 100,000. Quality of Hire is paramount and is becoming more important than ever. Shoutout to Alessandra Pegnim (wins best kicks award), Craig Walker, Darnell Hill, Jim Bao, Kate Caulfield, Lisa Pham (she/her), Lauren Nunes, Rick Iversen, Tasha Liniger (she/her) for joining Elena Arney, Nick Urban, Noel McCullar and myself for a great evening. #communityforthewin #qualityofhire #chqsonus

What's your take on Jacob Paul's question about Quality of Hire?
I’d love to kick off a healthy debate about ‘Who owns Quality of Hire?’ And by ‘owns’ I mean who should be held accountable for the metric? We’ve talked to hundreds of companies that are either getting serious about starting to measure it, or have already operationalized it and are measuring it as a KPI today. And what’s so interesting is that, anecdotally, about HALF of companies view it as a Recruiting metric, and the other half thinks about it as a way to measure the success of the HR Department, using it as their ‘HR Scorecard.’ Well, as a completely biased former recruiter, I would historically have said ‘it’s all on the Hiring Manager, duh! They’re the ones making the hiring decision!’ Unfortunately, like most debatable topics, I’ve concluded that the real answer is ‘well, it depends.’ We see customer data all the time that shows Quality of Hire correlated to the Source of the hire, to individual Recruiters, to TA Leadership, to Interviewers, to Onboarding, and to the Hiring Managers, and more. So if you're discussing QoH at your org, or are already measuring it, how are you thinking about it from an accountability perspective? And btw, if you're interested in learning more about how we think about QoH, see this link for our Definitive Guide to Quality of Hire: https://lnkd.in/gpiDr6u7
