Our client is looking to add a contract Biological Technician to their group in RTP. (Durham, NC) Location: Laboratory and Greenhouse Environments Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM (Rotational weekend and holiday work required) Pay Rate: $22/hour Labor Category: Scientific About the Role: Join a dynamic team in the Screening + Advanced Testing Initial Characterization Team at Global Research Insecticides. As a Biological Technician, you'll collaborate with a Team Leader and four scientists to conduct vital assays focused on the biological performance of agrochemicals. Your role will include preparing plants for experiments, applying insects, recording results, and supporting plant propagation and insect maintenance. Key Responsibilities: Select and prepare plants for laboratory experiments Apply insects to plants and record experimental outcomes Support the propagation of plants and maintenance of insects Handle plants, insects, and chemicals with appropriate PPE Prepare chemical solutions and evaluate insecticide effectiveness Perform routine tasks, including lifting up to 25 pounds Why Join The Team?
