The Trump administration’s actions on North America are triggering a rethink in both Mexico and Canada of the wisdom of having so deeply integrated their economies with the United States. This may well lead to a loosening of bonds and cooperation in the North American bloc, with negative impacts on U.S. economic and national security, to the benefit of the country’s adversaries.
