Today, we at CUANM celebrate the incredible career of Joe Christian, who retires today after 39 years of dedicated service to Nusenda Credit Union and the credit union movement. From starting as Data Processing Manager in 1986 to leading Nusenda as President & CEO, Joe’s vision helped grow the credit union to nearly $5 billion in assets and 280,000 members. His leadership expanded Nusenda’s reach, advanced technology, and strengthened community impact—especially through the Community Rewards Program, which has donated over $21 million since 2008. Joe’s contributions to the industry and New Mexico communities will leave a lasting legacy. We wish him all the best in retirement and welcome Michelle Dearholt as she steps into this leadership role. Thank you, Joe, for your service and impact!
