CUNY CLIMATE JUSTICE SUMMIT Organized by the NYC Climate Justice Hub A Partnership between CUNY and the NYC Environmental Justice Alliance (NYC-EJA) Join us for the first student-centered, community-led, CUNY-wide Environmental and Climate Justice Summit! The Summit takes place all-day on Tuesday, February 25th, 2025 at the CUNY Graduate Center. The program is geared toward CUNY students who want to learn more about the NYC Climate Justice Hub and how to be involved in supporting a climate justice agenda in New York City and State that aligns with New York City Environmental Justice Alliance (NYC-EJA) and their coalitional partners fighting on the frontlines to build a more just city. The Summit will bring together CUNY students from across all campuses so that YOU can gather with like-minded peers to find ways YOU ALL can shape the future of climate justice organizing at CUNY and NYC! CUNY students who attend the full day will receive a certificate of completion. To learn more about the event, including the schedule for the day, visit the event page on the website: https://lnkd.in/ehYS97GG
About us
The CUNY Urban Food Policy Institute is an academic research and action center at the CUNY Graduate School of Public Health and Health Policy located in Harlem, NYC. We provide evidence to inform municipal policies that promote equitable access to healthy, affordable food. We apply an intersectoral perspective that links nutrition and health to sustainable community and workforce development, and we engage partners from city government, community organizations, and the university in food policy research and action.
