The Board of Directors at Cultivate Community Food Co-op closed #CoopMonth with an outstanding meeting with Vallejo's new City Manager, Andrew Murray and Economic Development Director & Special Advisor, Michael Nimon. We are excited to collaborate with city leaders to bring a vision for stronger and sustainable communities to life. During the meeting, we introduced ourselves and shared CCFC's vision for establishing the first-of-its-kind community-owned grocery store in the Vallejo/Benicia area. Together, we explored ways CCFC can align with and support the City Council's goals, particularly in areas of economic growth and youth development. In preparation, Cultivate Community Food Co-op Board Members held an Outreach/Volunteer Brunch to discover various ways they can contribute through #volunteeropportunities and to support the #cooperativespirit that unites us.
