CRA is currently hiring mid-level architectural historians to work in our Knoxville, TN, and Lexington, KY, offices. Applicants should have an understanding of the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA) and applicable Section 106 regulations. Previous experience with some or all of the following is required: architectural resource surveys, Section 106 compliance, and/or National Register of Historic Places nominations. Previous experience with HABS/HAER documentation, design guidelines, historic structure reports, preservation planning, and/or researching and designing interpretive materials such as signage and brochures is also desirable. Knowledge of Tennessee Historical Commission and Tennessee Department of Transportation survey guidelines or Kentucky Heritage Council and Kentucky Transportation Cabinet survey guidelines is a plus. This is a full-time, salaried position.
