Join us in welcoming Alisha Childress as the newest member of CVANE's Board of Directors! Alisha Childress serves as the Community Development Coordinator with Freedom First Credit Union. She has a diverse professional background in emergency management, business continuity, nonprofit management, and community development. Alisha holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Master of Nonprofit and Association Management from the University of Maryland Global Campus, where she also teaches as an adjunct professor. She is known for her upbeat, passionate, fun and fierce personality. Alisha specializes in making things happen and uplifting her community. Your Favorite Local Community Cheerleader proudly serves on the boards of the Academy Center of the Arts, Downtown Lynchburg Association, Amherst County Chamber of Commerce, Interfaith Outreach Association, and Central Virginia Academy for Nonprofit Excellence. When she is not having coffee walks, advocating for financial wellness, and managing her own small businesses, she spends quality time with her two young beautiful daughters and partner making sweet memories.
