CW Architects

2024 marks 5 years of CW Architects! This year has brought many opportunities to our door. We've gained new team members, started and completed some great projects, and created great relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors.   But we also had a great heartbreak. In May of this year, we suffered the loss of one of our Principal Architects, Brian Clements. Brian started his own firm, Clements & Associates, in Chattanooga, TN in the mid-'90s. He played a key role in revitalizing the city as a part of the design-build team. In 2006, Brian moved the company to Bowling Green, KY. to participate in their downtown TIF and be closer to his family. He operated there until 2017. Wanting to grow the firm and pursue more projects, Brian and I made the decision to move the firm to Nashville. Along the way, Clements & Associates became Clements Wimsatt Architects in 2019. For 5 years we worked side by side building CW, creating designs, and serving our clients the best ways we knew how. To say CW has lost a piece of itself is an understatement.   Despite this heartbreak, CW perseveres. Brian's enormous contributions to this firm have allowed us to power on. Dedicating our 5th anniversary to his memory is both a burden and a privilege.   - Jacob Wimsatt, RA

It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the death of our colleague and friend, Brian Clements, who passed away on Friday, May 31st. Brian created his own firm, Clements and Associates, in 1996. Since then, he has done amazing work and touched the lives of so many people through CW and beyond. He was a distinguished architect, a valued teacher, and a beloved friend. We will all miss him more than words can express. There will be a memorial service this Thursday, June 6th as well as a burial service the following day.
