Today we celebrate our 50th Anniversary! In 1974, three motorcycle enthusiasts—Richard Christian, Ron Merritt, and Frank Klovis—started Cycle Gear in Richmond, California. “When they started, they just hired some kids and opened the first store—they didn't even have a manager," recalls Dave Bertram, who is widely credited with turning Cycle Gear from a small regional treasure into a national powerhouse when he joined in 1982. Today, we are the nation's largest retailer of motorcycle apparel and accessories, with over 160 store locations, a massive online presence, mobile shopping, and content experiences across countless platforms that allow riders to interact and make purchases any way they choose. https://lnkd.in/em7zQngQ #GetthereStarthere #cyclegear

About us
Cycle Gear is the largest and fastest growing retailer of motorcycle parts and apparel in America. Our relentless commitment to industry-leading customer service has been the cornerstone of our success since we opened our first tiny store in Northern California in 1974. Since then we have opened over 160 stores in 39 states and show no sign of slowing down. We are committed to carefully selecting and selling only the world’s best brands on our website as well as in our growing number of store locations nationwide. Cycle Gear is proud to be the largest retailer of a growing number of brands in America. By combining the best products, great prices, and an incredible selection with our never-ending commitment to providing the best customer service on the planet, you can see why we've been growing full throttle for decades! In addition to being an industry leading retailer, Cycle Gear is also on the forefront of developing the sport. We offer grassroots racer support and donate to many local and national motorcycle charities. In addition, Cycle Gear participates in thousands of different motorcycle events and races every year, while we host over 1,000 bike nights annually at our stores across the country. Plus, on the legal front, we’re proud members and donate to the AMA, Blue Ribbon Coalition, Motorcycle Industry Council and ORBA. Getting behind the organizations that fight for our rights to ride is something we all have to do! Motorcycles are in our blood……it’s what we’re all about…..and it’s our life-long mission to “Fuel America’s Passion to Ride”. Cycle Gear is proud to be a part of the Comoto Family of Brands, which also includes RevZilla, J&P Cycles, REVER, and Common Tread. Comoto is America’s largest and fastest growing omni-channel platform in the powersports aftermarket-products industry; dedicated to advancing the experience of moto enthusiasts across the globe.

Would love to thank KUSA-TV, 9NEWS and Claudia Garofalo for asking us back to talk more about rider safety and our #airbagssave campaign. It has truly been amazing seeing this initiative take on a life of itself outside of our initial push. I have been incredibly fortunate to spend a career working within industries I am passionate about, and honored to be at a point of representing Cycle Gear Inc. and promoting a safer riding community. Huge thanks to the countless team members that brought this campaign to fruition, and the network of 170 store team members across the country that are championing this message and are the driving force of its success. https://lnkd.in/gTfNCHZR
